Privacy Policy
Flux ("we," "us," or "our") is a CRM platform used by home service businesses to send automated SMS messages to their customers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with the Flux platform and its associated messaging features.
1. Who We Are
Flux is the platform operator. SMS messages sent through Flux are sent on behalf of subscribed home service businesses (each a "Business") to that Business's own customers. Flux acts as a service provider: the Business is the party with the direct relationship to message recipients.
2. Information We Collect
We collect and store the following categories of information:
- Business account data: business name, owner name, email address, billing information, and account settings.
- Customer data entered by Businesses: customer name, phone number, email address, and service history records (job dates, job types, and related notes).
- SMS interaction data: message delivery status, inbound replies, opt-out status, and timestamps.
- Usage data: server logs, IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited on the Flux platform.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Operate the Flux platform and deliver SMS messages on behalf of subscribed Businesses.
- Honor opt-out requests and maintain opt-out records so that no further messages are sent to opted-out customers.
- Provide analytics and reporting to Businesses about their messaging activity.
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service.
- Communicate with Businesses about their accounts, billing, and platform updates.
4. Data Retention
Customer and messaging data is retained for the lifetime of the Business account. When a Business account is deleted, associated customer data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or compliance purposes. Businesses may request deletion of specific customer records at any time by contacting us.
5. SMS Messaging Disclosures
We do not share mobile opt-in data or consent with third parties for marketing purposes.
The following disclosures apply to SMS messages sent through Flux:
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Message frequency varies depending on the Business's configuration and your service history with that Business.
- To opt out of messages from a Business using Flux, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent.
- To opt back in after opting out, reply START.
- To receive help information, reply HELP to any message.
Opt-out requests are honored immediately and persisted at the customer record level. A customer who has opted out will not receive any subsequent messages from that Business through Flux, regardless of the message type (review requests, reactivation, or campaigns).
6. Sharing of Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Twilio: SMS messages are delivered through Twilio, our messaging infrastructure provider. Twilio processes phone numbers and message content solely to deliver messages.
- Stripe: Billing and payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Flux, Businesses, or the public.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we take reasonable precautions to protect your data.
8. Children's Privacy
Flux is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify Business account holders of material changes by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
